This is my very first blog ever!! I want to tell you about my store and how it came about. First of all, my name is Anna and I'm older, 64 to be exact. I've always been ambitious and coming up with crazy ideas, but this time I think it's a very good one. I invented a portable design wall for quilters. Being a quilter myself, I know this is a very good idea. I just need to learn all the ins and outs of all this technology to get the word out there.
Let me tell you about this portable quilt wall. It's made from a form of PVC with a flannel front and adjustable legs. I set it up next to my sewing machine when I'm piecing my quilt blocks and this allows me to see each piece in my optimal visual field. I now am able to see where I need to make adjustments before I sew my pieces together. Doesn't sound like much, but ladies (and gents) it will cut your ripping out significantly!! And it gets better....I don't loose my pieces anymore. They cling to the flannel front and if I want to stop for whatever reason, I just fold the "Block to Block" and put it away. When I go back to it, every piece is where I left it!! I'm so excited about this, can you tell??
And it's not just for traditional quilt blocks, I'm having a blast auditioning my fussy cut pieces for the Lucy Boston Patchwork of the Crosses. I must change the colors and directions of my pieces a hundred times before I settle on a design.
I have a friend that sits it on her lap when she does her needle tatting and another lady that uses it to audition fabric for her applique and another that uses it to audition her doll clothes.
I hope that you will take some time to check out the "Block to Block" and see the value in it and purchase one. How's that for directness...lol.
